Job Description :

The Pharm Technician will perform all responsibilities independently under the supervision of an oncology pharmacist. Responsibilities include :

• Accurately enter prescription information.
• Contact prescribers to clarify orders and / or prescriptions.
• Use mathematical calculations and metric conversions to determine accurate medication quantities.
• Select proper medication strength and vial size to reduce drug waste.
• Select and dispense accurate medications.
• Correctly label medications.
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous oral, topical, and parenteral medications.
• Prepare medications for delivery.
• Organize and maintain medication and supply inventories.
• Perform inventory control duties, including ordering, receiving, stocking, exchanging, and returning medications and supplies.
• Ensure medications are appropriately stored.
• Resolve insurance issues.
• Complete medication prior authorizations.
• Aid patients with financial assistance programs.
• Responsible for appropriate EMR documentation and communication with staff.
• Follow Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
• Follow organizational policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Transparency :

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, education, certifications, experience, and location. Hourly Rate : $22.00 per hour to $28.00 per hour.
