Job Description

Our client, a hospital dedicated to rehabilitation medicine, seeks a Director of the Nursing Magnet Program to lead its journey to maintain Magnet designation. This leader will oversee strategic planning, staff engagement, and compliance with the ANCC Magnet standards to promote nursing excellence, professional development, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of Magnet designation and recertification efforts.
• Serve as liaison to ANCC; manage documentation, timelines, and site visits.
• Ensure compliance with Magnet Model components (e.g., leadership, outcomes, innovation).
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to align Magnet goals with hospital strategy.
• Conduct gap analyses, develop action plans, and track progress.
• Educate and mentor staff on Magnet standards and evidence-based practice.
• Support shared governance and nursing research initiatives.
• Analyze and report on quality indicators and outcomes.
• Communicate program milestones to stakeholders and represent the hospital externally.
• Provide backup leadership support to the CNO and AVP of Nursing as needed.
