DESCRIPTION
The ED Tech works as a team member in assigned area to assist with vital signs, performing EKGs, assist in ADLs, stock supplies, utilizes safe patient handling to reposition and transport patients, provide comfort measures, and assist with patient care under the direct supervision of the RN. The ED Tech also collects and document patient care data, applies cardiac monitor device, transports laboratory specimens, assist the nurse and physician with procedures, and performs secretarial duties as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
BLS / CPR certification at time of hire with commitment to get UCSD BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Minimum one (1) year of experience in an emergency department, inpatient unit, pre-hospital, acute care, or comparable settings.
Demonstrated computer knowledge and skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
EMT and / or CNA certification.
Bilingual in both Spanish and English.

Annual Full Pay Range : $67,756 - $67,756 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent : $32.45 - $32.45
