Counselor - Part-time Adjunct Pool

Overview

Kern Community College District is soliciting applications for part-time, hourly adjunct instructors. This is for an adjunct pool that will be used to staff part-time adjunct positions. The starting salary range is $60.00 / hour; hourly rate may vary based on type of assignment and the Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) formula. Representative Duties : This is for an adjunct pool that will be used to staff part-time adjunct positions.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy or marriage, family and child counseling. (Note : A bachelor's degree in one of the listed degrees and a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) is an alternative qualification for this discipline.) OR the equivalent. Certain combinations of education, experience, and other accomplishments in the field may be judged as equal to the stated minimum qualifications. Candidates who feel they possess such equivalent qualifications must request and submit an APPLICATION FOR EQUIVALENCE form. Supporting documents must be included with the completed form. Minimum Qualifications Handbook Faculty and Administration in California Community Colleges. AND a demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community college students. Degrees and credits must be from accredited institutions (Title V Section 53406). Foreign degrees must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service. The screening committee reserves the right to limit interviews; meeting minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview.
