Overview
Ameritex is investing in a next-generation Salvagnini cell and looking for a high-caliber professional to OWN it—not just "run" it. You'll be the subject-matter expert across our Salvagnini laser, automated material handling, panel bender, and press brake, accountable for safety, uptime, quality, throughput, and continuous improvement.

Salary : $107,886 - $161,828
What you'll do
- Equipment ownership : daily startup / shutdown, setups, calibration, basic PM / TPM, and first-line troubleshooting; coordinate vendor service when needed
- Production excellence : program and operate Salvagnini laser and panel bender, plus press brake; optimize nests, cycle times, and bend sequences; hit takt while protecting quality
- Automation flow : manage loading / unloading, towers, conveyors, and WIP to keep the cell running lights-out-ready where feasible
- Process improvement : apply Lean / 5S / SMED; reduce scrap and changeover; drive OEE and uptime; maintain accurate run books and SOPs
- Quality leadership : verify parts to print using GD&T; execute root-cause and corrective actions; collaborate with Engineering on DFM and bend allowances / k-factor / tooling
- Training & teamwork : mentor operators, cross-train backups, and be the go-to resource for Salvagnini best practices and safe operations
Qualifications
5+ years on Salvagnini or equivalent advanced sheet-metal systems (e.g., L5 laser, P2 / P4 panel bender, integrated automation)Strong CNC / programming skills (nesting, cutting parameters, bend sequencing, tool selection) and sheet-metal forming fundamentalsProven record improving throughput, first-pass yield, and OEE while reducing changeover time and scrapAbility to read complex prints and apply GD&T; solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsExperience documenting SOPs and training others; clear, professional communicationNice to have
Experience with Salvagnini software suite (e.g., OP / OPS, StreamLaser, StreamBend) and offline programmingPress brake expertise (tooling selection, staged setups, air bending, hemming)Hands-on preventive maintenance culture (TPM) and basic electrical / pneumatic troubleshootingFamiliarity with ERP / MES for scheduling, feedback, and part traceabilityWhat we offer
