Description
SUMMARY
Increases OTD by expediting the flow of work and material between departments according to the production schedule. Works with Customer Service and Planning and is a direct interface with Quality and Subcontract
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews daily, all items currently showing Slip Codes in Epicor and reports progress to CS can planning Team
Work with Sub-Contract Team to contact suppliers and maintain accurate PO delivery dates in ERP system
Ensure interdepartmental communication for improved coordination of critical products
Collaborate with Project Managers for updates on delivery timelines
Compile, record and report project performance and progress to management and key stakeholders
Review demand and takes necessary action to meet delivery dates
May be available to release repeat jobs in the planning department
Regularly assigned special projects that require additional oversight during the manufacturing process
Issue and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, and services.
Coordinate with production, planning, and warehouse teams to manage material availability.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the ERP / MRP system.
Ensure daily movement and distribution of materials within the shop
Requirements
REQUIRED
3+ years forklift experience
High school diploma or equivalent
2 to 5 years of progressive experience
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Proven track record in buying and procurement
Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite
High energy and works well in team environments
DESIRED
Strong initiative with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Detailed oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Familiar with ERP systems, preferably Epicor
Salary Description
$21 to $24 hourly DOE
