Overview Designer position in Edmonds / Seattle area with responsibilities across schematic design, design development, construction documents, and client presentations. Collaboration within a design team to develop creative design ideas and ensure adherence to project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.
Responsibilities Demonstrates advanced knowledge of project complexity to proactively contribute to the overall success of the team by adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.
Develops creative and innovative design ideas, concepts, and solutions while participating as an integral member of the design team.
Coordinates drawings for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
Analyzes product research and identifies material selections.
Takes an active role in crafting client and non-client design presentations and prepares corresponding materials.
Implements a creative approach to complete tasks and responsibilities on projects, within the scope of schedule and budget, in an organized, timely, and consistent way.
Reviews work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.
Supports growth of others and participates in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups.
Keeps open and proactive communication with all and is inspiring within the team and designated team leader.
Coordinates effectively with partners and consultants.
Education & Experience 5-8 years of experience
Bachelor's degree in architecture or related discipline required
LEED GA within 6 months of hire
Professional Accreditation in one area of Living Design (e.g., LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, CPHC / CPHD, ILFI Living Future Accreditation)
Preparing for ARE and active involvement in AXP

Compensation & Benefits At Perkins&Will, we foster a diverse and inclusive culture with pay practices that are fair and competitive. The posted annual pay range is $78,400 to $100,000, commensurate with qualifications.
