This is a 13-week contract position.

12 hour shifts; 4 days per week; all rotating shift schedules.

\n\nJob Description\n

Provide direct care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum (high, moderate, and low-risk) patients, in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team in labor and delivery. Candidates must demonstrate good communication skills, the ability to prioritize and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to patient and family-centered care. Employees are oriented and trained to various competencies / modes of care and delivery across the OB service. Floating among units to meet variable needs of volume and acuity is an ongoing expectation of all OB / GYN nurses.

\n\nResponsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver high-quality care to obstetrical patients during all phases of care.

    • \n

  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

    • \n

  • Adapt to the needs of varying patient volumes and acuity levels.

    • \n \n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n \n

  • RN License (NY only)

    • \n

  • Two (2) years of experience in labor and delivery, OR experience in OR and triage highly desired

    • \n

  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)

    • \n

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Certification required
