Legal Assistant – VA Disability Law (Local Remote Position)
Naperville, IL – Hybrid (Remote + 1–2 weeks in-office training)
Compensation : $20 / hour + Bonuses + 401(k) + Medical Benefits
Schedule : Full-time
About the Role
We are a veteran-focused law firm seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Legal Assistant to support our team in helping veterans secure the benefits they deserve. This position is primarily remote once trained, but candidates must be located in the Chicagoland area and able to commute to our Warrenville office for the first 1–2 weeks of onboarding.
What You’ll Do
- Complete and file standard VA forms and appeals
- Open and close client case files in our case management system
- Contact clients to request documents and provide basic case updates
- Maintain accurate digital records and track case progress
- Assist attorneys and case managers with day-to-day administrative tasks
- Communicate professionally with general population
