UAS Production Manager
COLSA is hiring for a UAS Production Manager to lead exciting unmanned aerial systems projects. You'll oversee production workflows, guide a skilled team, and act as a key client liaison - ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the overall management of the Production staff; provides managerial guidance to team of UAS engineers, technicians, and specialists regarding production workflow, operations and problem solving based on expertise and knowledge
- Responsible for ensuring that staffing, facilities, equipment, etc., are adequate for successful completion of the task / project
- Responsible for preparing department specific reports as required by government or customer
- Develops policies, guidelines, and procedures and recommends changes to procedure when needed
- Works alongside other UAS team leads and managers to ensure customer satisfaction relating to technical contract performance; may work independently as needed
- Coordinates some logistics elements, including but not limited to spares, support equipment, training, facilities, technical data, and provisioning
- Controls the flow of assets, services, and information between point of origin through receipt in order to meet customer requirement
- Serves as liaison between department and other departments as well as with outside customers, regulatory personnel, etc.

Required Experience :
Bachelor's degree or higher in related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of 5 years of related experience including Army and training range operationsKnowledge of Army regulations for sUAS flight operations and safetyUnderstanding of Army Air Worthiness process and documentationExperience with sUAS design and build using SolidWorkssUAS Production line, outsourcing, and supply chain experienceDoD Secret clearance; US Citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications :
Pilot / operator experience for Group 1 and Group 2 multi-rotor, fixed wing, fixed wing VTOL, helicopter, and tethered multi-rotor sUASsUAS powerplants including Electric, Nitro, Gasoline, Hybrid, and TurbineFAA Certification for sUAS operationsArmy Aviation ExperienceR / C Modeling Experience including FPVDoD 5000 knowledge for engineering processes including SRR, PDR, CDR events.Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
