We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a cashier and / or stocker. In this role, you will function in a lead capacity in the absence of the store manager or assistant store manager. You will assist in setting and maintaining plan-o-grams and programs, provide exemplary customer service, and perform other duties to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and teamwork, while protecting company assets and reducing losses.

Your duties will include unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, restocking returned and recovered merchandise, assisting in plan-o-gram implementation, greeting customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store. You will also be responsible for operating the cash register, handling cash, and ensuring strict cashier accountability and adherence to company security practices.

To qualify for this position, you should have the ability to perform mathematical calculations, knowledge of cash handling procedures, and effective interpersonal and communication skills. A high school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience / training) is preferred.

Working conditions may include frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling. You will also need to handle merchandise and equipment, lift up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 55 pounds. The role may require occasional climbing, exposure to outside weather conditions, and driving to make bank deposits and attend management meetings.
