We are seeking an experienced GCP Devops Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in GCP services, have experience with cloud migrations, and be adept at building scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures tailored to business needs.

Your role

1. Architectural Design and Planning

o Develop cloud architecture solutions leveraging GCP services such as Compute Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub / Sub, Cloud SQL, and Kubernetes Engine.

o Translate business and technical requirements into scalable and secure cloud designs.

o Define architecture blueprints, best practices, and cloud standards for deployment.

2. Cloud Migration Strategy

o Assess existing systems, workloads, and data to determine cloud migration strategies.

o Design migration plans for applications, data, and infrastructure to GCP.

o Optimize resource utilization during migration to ensure minimal downtime and cost efficiency.

3. Implementation and Deployment

o Lead the setup and configuration of GCP environments, including VPCs, IAM policies, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity.

o Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Deployment Manager, or Ansible.

o Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI / CD pipelines and container orchestration.

4. Performance and Cost Optimization

o Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage for performance and cost-efficiency.

o Implement solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, and auto-scaling.

o Leverage tools like Stackdriver for observability, logging, and monitoring.

5. Security and Compliance

o Design cloud architectures with a strong focus on security and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

o Implement identity and access management (IAM) best practices.

o Ensure data protection, encryption, and secure network configurations.

6. Stakeholder Collaboration and Leadership

o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and product teams, to align cloud architecture with business goals.

o Conduct architectural reviews, present proposals, and lead discussions with stakeholders.

o Mentor and guide team members on GCP best practices and emerging technologies.

Your skills and experience

• Technical Expertise

o Extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including but not limited to :

Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and App Engine

BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow

Pub / Sub and Cloud Functions

o Strong understanding of cloud networking (VPC, VPN, Interconnect, DNS).

o Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.

o Experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures and containerized workloads.

o Proven experience designing cloud-native and hybrid solutions.

o Expertise in cloud migration strategies for workloads and data.

o Strong leadership and communication skills.

o Ability to articulate and document architecture decisions and trade-offs.

o Collaborative mindset to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
