Black Hills Surgical Hospital is seeking a BE / BC Anesthesiologist to join our surgical practice in Rapid City, SD.

• Team is comprised of three Anesthesiologists and twenty-two CRNAs to cover eleven operating rooms in a care team supervision approach.
• Duties would include a robust regional practice shared between the anesthetists and anesthesiologists with a devoted Block Nurse running the latest in GE ultrasound units, reaching approximately 6000 blocks per year.
• Oversight of the pre and post anesthesia care units and ensuring patients are properly cleared for surgery in conjunction with a pre-anesthesia testing clinic.
• Collaboration with surgeon and nursing alike on complicated patients, ensuring safe anesthetic delivery.
• Our practice offers a great work, recreation balance with flexible shifts and minimal weekend engagement.

Competitive compensation package includes :

Compensation floor of $575,000 if you complete required number of shifts for 1.0 FTE

In addition, a $150,000 retention incentive to be paid if you remain a 1.0 FTE for 3 years (this will be subject to a contractual agreement specifying all details)

The primary focus of BHSH is providing cutting edge total joint replacement, extensive Sport Medicine, Ortho and Neuro spine, Gen Ortho, ENT, Gen Surg, Plastics and GYN. New care lines beginning this fall include a single Cardiac Cath lab, focused on diagnostic and interventional for non-urgent / emergent case load and occasional Vascular procedures.
