We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Corporate Operations team and help ensure the financial accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of our multi-state organization.
This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting company leadership with meaningful financial insights. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
As an Accountant, you'll ensure that our financial operations run smoothly and compliantly. You'll :
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to support executive decision-making.
- Manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal adjustments across multiple entities.
- Oversee bookkeeping functions, accounts payable, and accounts receivable activities.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support business growth.
- Prepare and file state and federal tax documents while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with leadership and department managers to interpret financial data and optimize performance.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready records and assist in internal and external audit preparation.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, policies, and systems for greater efficiency.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff to promote consistency and accuracy across departments.

Analytical and detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices.Experienced in managing financial operations across multiple entities or departments.Proficient with QuickBooks and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Gmail) on Windows-based systems.Skilled in communication, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.Organized and proactive, able to meet deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.CPA certification is strongly preferred.Minimum of three years of accounting or financial management experience.Experience in multi-entity or cannabis accounting is preferred.Must meet all state and federal requirements for employment in the cannabis industry, including applicable background checks.Why Nirvana Cannabis?
