Surgery - General Physician

Make a difference this holiday season in the scenic city of Hot Springs, Arkansas! We re seeking a Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible General Surgeon for Christmas coverage . This is a high-impact, short-term opportunity in a Level II Trauma Center perfect for skilled surgeons who are ready to jump in and support a well-established surgical team.

This role is ideal for providers who want to deliver exceptional patient care while enjoying premium holiday rates complimentary travel & lodging , and comprehensive malpractice coverage . We are open to candidates needing to obtain an Arkansas license.

Coverage Dates (Must Be Available for Entire Assignment) :

December 24th, 7 : 00 AM January 2nd, 7 : 00 AM

(24-hour call shifts, 7a 7a daily)

Compensation Package :

Standard Call Rate : $1900 per 24hr call (includes 4 gratis hours)

Call Back Rate : $300 / hr

Holiday Call Rate +Holiday Call Back : Additional

Role & Responsibilities :

Inpatient hospital rounding + 24-hour call

Handle a variety of cases : gallbladders, hernias, colorectal, endocrine, surgical oncology, laparoscopic & minimally invasive procedures

Must be able to perform both upper and lower endoscopy

Trauma care with vascular repair experience required (30% of traumas are penetrating)

EMR : EPIC

Support from 3 experienced APPs

Average : calls per night

Requirements :

Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in General Surgery

Active AR license preferred or willingness to apply immediately upon offer

ACLS and BLS Required

Clean malpractice history preferred

Must be fully available for the entire assignment (Dec 24 Jan 2)
