Structural Fitter (Relocation Offered - Tampa, FL)

We are seeking a skilled Structural Fitter Foreman to join our team performing fitting and assembly of structural steel products for various industrial projects. The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise in reading and understanding drawings, codes, and specifications to ensure all established fabrication procedures are meticulously followed.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize drawings to fit and assemble structural steel products for a variety of industrial projects.
  • Participate in the layout and assembly of structural components for steel fabrication.
  • Ensure all established fabrication procedures are followed.
  • Fit to D1.1 and D1.5 bridge code standards.
  • Fit vessels / tanks to specified codes.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read and understand drawings, codes, and specifications.
  • 3-5 years of experience in FCAW welding.
  • 3-5 years of experience in structural fitting.
  • 3-5 years of experience in steel fabrication.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Must successfully pass a drawing test before employment is offered.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the structural steel fabrication industry.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in an industrial fabrication shop, which is hot, dirty, and dusty. The facility is open-air with 2-5 open fans. Reliable transportation is necessary, as the role requires commuting between different locations.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a contract to hire position based out of Tampa, Florida.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
