Courtroom Security Officer
Under general supervision, the purpose of this position is to provide courtroom security for citizens and court staff and ensure that all those entering the courtroom are following written policies and procedures designed to provide a secure environment.

The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such duties are a logical assignment to the position.
Minimum age of 21 and a High School Diploma or GED.
Possession of a basic license as a peace officer from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
Must pass : background investigation, essential job function screening, polygraph test, oral review board, psychological screening, drug test.
Must possess good moral character and meet any other standards set by law or by policy of the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
Must obtain Court Security Certification upon hire.
Must possess and maintain a valid State of Texas Driver's License.
Lateral Entry Officers must meet the requirements set forth in the Colleyville Police Department's General Orders 401 (L).
