Director of Accounting
This is currently a hybrid role that requires at least 3 days per week in the Schaumburg, IL corporate office.

The Director of Accounting is responsible for the compliance of financial transactions with approved financial policies, procedures and systems of control which ultimately results in internal and external financial reporting. The Director of Accounting will work cross functionally with internal and external business partners to support them with analysis advice and information needed to make business decisions.
Success in the role is measured on :
- Timely and accurate monthly financial statements.
- Completion of annual audit process with no significant deficiencies in internal controls over financial reporting; and
- Timely completion of any statutory filings.
Key Duties & Responsibilities :
25% - Month end financial reporting, including account reconciliation and analysis review. Participation and oversight of closing process40% - Manage operational data / records. Ensure data accuracy and integrity. Develop and maintain operating procedures and data flow, system of controls.15% - Ad hoc – act in support of VP Finance and Controller, additional duties as needed.10 % - Staff oversight over Senior Accountant, Staff Accountant and Accounts Payable Coordinator. Creates progressive environment in which staff can grow or strengthen their abilities.10% - Audit support – Engage auditors and consultants to help ensure timely resolution of fieldwork.Knowledge or Experience :

Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, accrual accounting, auditing and tax filing requirements imperativeERP Systems experience, JDE preferredFinancial consolidation system experience, OneStream preferredThrive in, and be able to work in, a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with broad responsibilitiesHave a passion for quality and an impeccable detail orientationStrong communication skills verbal and writtenAbility to work in a cross-functional team environment and a flexible team-oriented perspectiveAbility to oversee multiple and competing projects in a fast-paced, changing team environmentStrong interpersonal communication skills required – verbal, written and presentationEducation / Certifications :
