About The Position

Title : OR Tech / Surgical Tech

Location : Rochester, NY

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift, 3x12-Hour (11 : 00 – 23 : 30)

Job Responsibilities :

Assist surgeons and the surgical team in the operating room by preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.

Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical tools and maintain a sterile field during operations.

Support elective and emergency surgeries for both adult and pediatric patients across multiple specialties.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe and efficient surgical care.

Maintain accurate records of procedures and assist in patient preparation, positioning, and transport.

Participate in one on-call shift per week and one weekend per month.

Float to other surgical units as required.

Required Skills & Experience :

Minimum 1 year of experience as an OR Tech / Surgical Tech

Active New York State Surgical Technologist License (required at time of submission)

Experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center preferred

Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques

EPIC charting system experience (required)

First-time travelers accepted
