  • Job Description :
  • CPR Certification (Required)
  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (Required)
  • Preferably 1-2 years of experience in long-term care.
  • Good physical and mental health is required.
  • Capable of meeting physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 40 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Possess training, knowledge, and experience for general responsibilities.
  • REPORTING :
  • The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant reports to the Rehabilitation Director.
  • JOB DUTIES :
  • Fundamental understanding of physical medicine, physical therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Basic knowledge of physical therapy equipment operation, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Administer treatment and rehabilitation services to patients with injuries or disabilities, providing residents with exercises.
  • Follow treatment plans as directed by the staff Occupational Therapist, adhering to physical medicine practice standards.
  • Evaluate treatment effects, and communicate findings with staff and Occupational Therapist.
  • Monitor and document resident treatment and progress.
  • Assist in developing a teaching plan based on identified learning needs, assess learning effectiveness, involve family in teaching, and update staff and Occupational Therapists on outcomes.
