Role Summary

This position focuses on managing a major Tier1 harness maker account. The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in managing account objectives, strategies and problem solving, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Strong opportunity for advancement / career growth !!

Main Responsibilities

Candidate is expected to act with sense of urgency and provide timely follow up to all customer inquiries. Excellent communication skills, self-confidence, and ability to strengthen the customer relationship and intimacy are a must. Responsibilities :

  • Lead account growth while managing the customer relationships and acting as the voice of the customer.
  • Create customer strategies through detailed value propositions maximizing booking, revenue and profitability achieving Aptiv metric and objectives.
  • Lead resolution of customer commercial disputes (recognized as Aptiv's customer lead).
  • Establish proactive communication and relationship that promotes confidence and trust.
  • Ensure customer demands are managed through the appropriate internal processes such that all responses are made timely, within and consistent with our commercial policy.
  • Create and drive deployment of strategic plan for the account. Interacting with the customer purchasing, engineering and program management teams.
  • Identify business development opportunities.
  • Interact with the global Aptiv team, and execute any set strategy for the account.

Education / Experience / Key Requirements

Bachelor degree (preferably Finance or Engineering)

2+ years of account management experience within the automotive industry, specifically with Tier One Suppliers

2+ years of experience working directly with Manufacturing, Finance and Engineering

Multitasker with proven capability of strong work ethic

Track record in establishing global customer strategies and increasing revenue / growth

  • Must be local resident of the Metro Detroit area with ability to be on site
  • Must be legally able to work in the U.S. without requirement of any type of visa sponsorship or transfer
  • Master's degree / MBA, preferred

    3+ years of Sales leadership, preferred

    3+ years of experience working directly with Manufacturing, Finance and Engineering, preferred

    Connection, device and electrical systems experience, preferred.
