General Surgery Nurse Practitioner Job with Trinity Health in Nampa, ID

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a 650+ provider multispecialty group practice seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care located at our General Surgery Clinic in Nampa, ID. This practice is a full-spectrum general surgery practice that includes open, endoscopic, and laparoscopic procedures. The Physician Assistant will assist with seeing patients in the clinic in partnership with supervising physician, assist with patient rounding in the hospital, and in the operating room. The provider will also ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the medical treatment facility and request timely consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated. The schedule consists of working 7 on / 7 off, no call required, shift work only.\n\nThe qualified candidate will show evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills and problem-solving abilities and commit to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. In addition to having exceptional clinical skills the NP / PA must demonstrate a collaborative approach in working with the other team members. The NP / PA works in harmony with the surgeons to ensure the highest quality clinical outcomes while providing exceptional patient experience. Duties include a rotation of inpatient rounding and operating room assisting\n\nRequirements : \n

• Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Idaho; Valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA\n
• Physician Assistant (PA) : Successful completion of PA Graduate Program (Masters Level preferred) and NCCPA certification (PA-C).\n
• A strong medical background and a desire to develop a practice to support a growing multi-specialty medical group.
