Key Position Details :

Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute - Vascular Wound Care Clinic is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join the practice.

• This position is casual.
• Outpatient position.
• This role will provide services at our St. Paul clinic located at United Hospital.
• Team provides advanced wound care therapies for the full scope of wounds.
• EMR : Epic is one of the most comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) systems in the nation.

Job Description :

Principle Responsibilities :

Completes comprehensive patient assessments.

Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.

Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.

Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.

Refers for specialty care when determined.

Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Physician Assistant scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.

Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff.

Acts as resource to members of the team.

Required Qualifications :

Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Preferred Qualifications :

New graduates may be considered. Minimum 2 years of experience in wound care preferred.

Licenses / Certifications :

Master's degree completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.

Wound education required through WebWOC within 12 months of hire.

Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire.

Certified Nurse Practitioner - ANCC or AANP certification within specialty required upon hire.

BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.

Drug Enforcement Administration upon hire required.

Pay Range

Pay Range : $55.24 to $76.43 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and / or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
