Engineering Manager
We are seeking a highly experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in pressure vessel design and fabrication , in accordance with ASME codes and standards . The ideal candidate will also have structural engineering experience , proficiency in Compress software (a major plus), and a proven track record of leading engineering teams in a fast-paced manufacturing / fabrication environment . This role requires hands-on leadership and deep technical expertise to drive process improvement, support production, and ensure product compliance and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all engineering activities within a fabrication environment, ensuring compliance with ASME standards and structural requirements
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Manage process documentation, including engineering drawings, work instructions, and SOPs.
- Lead new product design and introduction projects, including process validations and prototype development
- Drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve workflow.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing and supplier quality issues.
- Introduce and manage new production equipment, tooling, and production lines.
- Utilize Compress software for pressure vessel design (preferred).
- Create and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Provide technical support and leadership in structural design and pressure vessel calculations.
- Conduct time studies and process analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
- Generate and manage engineering budgets, schedules, and resource planning.
- Train, mentor, and supervise engineers and technical staff within the engineering group.
- Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar) for design and component modification.
Required
5+ Years of previous Engineering Manager experienceStrong working knowledge of ASME pressure vessel codes and standardsStructural engineering experience in a fabrication setting.Hands-on experience with Compress software (strongly preferred).Proven engineering management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or fabrication environmentProficient in CAD tools preferably Autodesk Inventor.Experience implementing and managing Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple technical projects simultaneously.Education
