This position is fully onsite in Thousand Oaks, CA, supporting oncology research, with typical hours of 8 : 30 AM 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Cancer Biology, Genetics, or a related field with hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture and standard molecular biology techniques. Candidates with an MS and 3 5 years of relevant industry experience will also be considered. Strong data analysis skills, scientific independence, and a demonstrated publication record, preferably including first-author work, are expected. Must show first-author publication for PhD candidates.
The Department of Oncology Research is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to contribute to the discovery and progression of small-molecule therapeutics.
The successful candidate is expected to make major scientific laboratory-based contributions to the group goals and present their results in internal forums.
Preferred Qualifications :
A strong skillset of standard cell and molecular biology experimental design and techniques (e.g., mammalian cell culture, western blotting, molecular cloning, qPCR, flow cytometry, etc) and data analysis (e.g., GraphPad Prism)
Research experience in cancer biology, genetics, or related field
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
