THE ROLE You will be part of a multi-disciplinary group where people with diverse backgrounds collaborate to support IIT’s research activities.
The Human-Robot Interfaces and Interaction (HRI²) Research unit, coordinated by Dr. Arash Ajoudani, combines expertise in physical human-robot interaction, applied machine learning, mobile manipulation, robust and adaptive control, assistive robotics, and tele-robotics.
We are looking for a Communication and Design Expert to join our team.
As a creative professional, you will use your skills in communication and design to bring ideas to life and make complex concepts easy to understand. You will contribute to shaping clear, engaging, and visually appealing materials that reflect IIT’s identity and values, ensuring our work is effectively shared inside and outside the Institute. You will also support the management and growth of IIT’s social media presence, helping to engage with a broader audience and showcase our activities.
This role is ideal for someone with strong writing and design abilities, creativity, and the versatility to adapt messages to different audiences and channels.
Within the team, your main responsibilities will be :
Create and edit communication materials (texts, presentations, visuals) for internal and external use.
Design clear and attractive graphics to support projects, reports, and events.
Manage and update social media pages, creating engaging posts and monitoring interaction.
Support the team in keeping communication consistent with our identity and style.
Help share complex information in a simple and engaging way.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS A master’s or bachelor’s degree in Communication, Design, Media Studies, or a related field
Documented experience in communication, graphic design, or similar activities
Experience in managing social media channels and creating digital content
Good knowledge of the English language (spoken and written)
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong focus on stakeholder needs and expectations
ADDITIONAL SKILLS Good knowledge of design and multimedia software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video / photo editing tools)
Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary team
Strong analytical reasoning skills and a growth mindset
COMPENSATION PACKAGE A yearly gross salary ranging between 23 and 27K Euros, which may include a bonus option depending on your role and contract

Ten days of teleworking per month and flexible working hours are available for certain roles
Candidate holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree who have not been resident in Italy in the last 3 years and move back to Italy to start any work activity, and meet specific requirements, can benefit from a 50% deduction on their income.
This open position is financed INAIL within the CORE project.
