Description :
Summary / Objective : Develops, implements, and maintains company-wide safety programs to include job site safety, hazard management, fire / life safety, construction, industrial and environmental safety policies and programs. This person has the authority and responsibility to suspend unsafe job site operations in order to protect employees, the public, and property. This person may be asked represent GFT to federal agencies, local groups and organizations, professional associations, and other similar groups.

Work Environment :
This job operates in a varied setting, between a professional office environment and being out on the field on-site at projects and construction builds. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines as well as a mobile phone. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

This position is occasionally active, and requires standing, walking, bending, and climbing up ladders and stairs. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. This person must maintain a valid drivers’ license and be able to drive to branch locations on a regular basis.

This is a full-time position, M-F.
Travel :
Regional travel is expected for this position, up to 50%.
