FHA / VA Government Underwriter

A company is looking for a Government Underwriter (FHA / VA).

Key Responsibilities

Underwrite FHA and VA loans, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards

Communicate regularly with Loan Officers and Processors regarding loan status and requirements

Assist with training and provide leadership in underwriting resources and credit policy execution

Required Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of government underwriting experience

Must possess valid CHUMS and / or LAPP / Sar designations for FHA and VA loans

Recent experience with USDA and Bond underwriting is highly preferred

Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems

Proven leadership skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
