About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Shift : 12-Hour Nights Every Other Weekend

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in ICU

License : Required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS

Must-Have :

• Strong skills in ICU and PCU / Medsurg nursing
• Experience with titrating drips, including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin

Description :

The role involves working in a Multi Care Unit that accommodates various acuities.

This unit has 10 beds and operates with different nurse-to-patient ratios depending on acuity.

ICU patients have a ratio of 1 : 2, while PCU patients can have a ratio of 1 : 4 to 1 : 6.

In the absence of nurse aids, RNs may take a maximum of 3 patients.

Common diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory issues, and post-operative complications.

RNs will need to administer non-titratable infusions for maintaining heart rate or blood pressure.

Remote Monitor Technicians will be available for monitoring patients in PCU and MST.

RNs are required to read strips and take 12-lead EKGs for ICU patients.

Shifts are from 0700 to 1900 or 1930 to 0730.

Weekend shifts are scheduled every other weekend.

Holidays will also be rotated fairly among staff.

Staff may float between units as necessary to maintain competency.

Scrubs of any color except camouflage may be worn.

The charting system used is Cerner.

This position does not require a BSN.
