Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Labor and Delivery Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 03 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Local Contract Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery RN to join a compassionate, patient-focused team in an acute care hospital environment. This role is crucial in providing support to mothers and families throughout the childbirth process, from admission through postpartum care. Key Responsibilities : Provide direct nursing care during labor, delivery, and recovery phases Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vital signs, and progression of labor Administer medications and assist with epidurals, inductions, and other obstetric procedures Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams Educate and support patients and families throughout labor and postpartum care Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all safety and infection control protocols Qualifications : Active RN license (state-specific or compact) Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience preferred BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS and AWHONN certifications a plus Strong communication skills, calm under pressure, and committed to patient-centered care Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K offered.
