Student Intern - Marketing - Tulane University

Job Description

The intern is responsible for being the liaison between the student body and Aramark via peer-to-peer marketing, campus dining promotional events, and creating marketing materials for the units.Job Responsibilities

Act as a liaison between Aramark and the student body through peer-to-peer marketing, reaching out to student groups, coordinating the marketing schedule with university events, and conducting student surveys and focus groupsStrategically plan and curate video and photography for a variety of projects such as social media posts, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTubeCreate rapid turnaround and ensure timely delivery of completed videos while meeting project deadlinesIndependently shoot high-quality photos and videos that produce captivating content to drive brand awareness while engaging with the audience and capitalizing on promotions and eventsAssist with writing and crafting compelling captions, headlines, and narratives that enhance digital contentDevelop relationships with outside vendors to obtain pricing and print requirements and follow-up to ensure completion of projects (printers, designers, etc.)Develop text, layout, and design for first drafts of promotional materials (brochures, postcards, emails, flyers, signage, posters, etc.)Interact with customers while working at various marketing events such as open house, orientations, club meetings, meal plan information tables, special events and promotionsDistribute marketing materials to the dining locations and make sure materials posted are up to date (posters, maps, table tents, napkin ads, etc.)Enter data into Excel spreadsheets for analysis, interpret spreadsheet data and convert to an executive summaryUpdate the campus dining website with new information on locations, hours of operation, menus, etc. as needed and generate new ways to increase website traffic and student interestMaintain a professional imageComplete marketing projects as neededAssist in other departments as neededQualifications

Required Qualifications : Must be currently enrolled in Tulane UniversityAbility to work 10 - 20 hours per weekMust be able to effectively communicate and understand directions in EnglishAbility to understand and use Microsoft OfficeStrong organization skills and attention to detailDesired Qualifications : Experience using graphic design programs like Canva and / or AdobeSophomore classification or higherAbout Aramark
