Overview
Sr. Manufacturing Manager role at IDEX Health & Science (IH&S), a unit of IDEX Corporation. This position supports theDirector of Manufacturing with responsibility for all aspects of manufacturing within assigned business lines (e.g., Lenses, Lasers, Cameras, Systems, and Optical Filters). The role manages both the team and capacity allocations to achieve on-time delivery, quality, cost of goods, and sales commitments for the assigned lines. Site-based role.
Scope of role
The Sr. Manufacturing Manager supports the Director of Manufacturing with responsibility for all aspects of manufacturing within the assigned business lines. Assigned lines may include Lenses, Lasers, Cameras, Systems and Optical Filters. Clear, goal-aligned assignments will be made based on business priorities and need.
Essential duties
- Lead, develop, and coach a manufacturing organization of 70+ employees including Direct Labor (DL) and Indirect Labor (IDL). Operation runs 5 days per week, two shifts, with occasional overtime.
- Lead manufacturing operations to achieve department goals for product quality, on-time delivery, and manufacturing profit and productivity.
- Contribute to development and implementation of Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
- Work with continuous improvement teams to drive LEAN manufacturing processes and principles.
- Partner with Supply Chain to implement inventory management practices to reduce costs, improve product quality, and assure stable sources of supply.
- Drive ERP improvements and leverage functionality to support capacity planning.
- Lead efforts to restructure / eliminate ergonomically adverse manufacturing procedures.
- Facilitate preventive maintenance program for equipment and tooling to support process and product excellence.
- Drive safety throughout Manufacturing and identify proactive plans to prevent accidents.
- Develop a talent development and acquisition strategy to continuously improve the manufacturing function.
- This position is a site-based role.
Education and experience
B.S. Degree required; advanced degree highly preferred.5+ years in a related manufacturing operations management position with progressively more responsibility.Green Belt level Six Sigma preferred.Ability to gather, validate and analyze production data to develop evidence-based process improvement proposals.Demonstrated ability to plan and execute change in manufacturing structure, systems and philosophy.Detail-oriented while able to conceive, implement and operate systems and processes.Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a cooperative, cross-functional, matrixed environment.Effectiveness in motivating and executing against objectives, policies, and procedures through a team, including non-exempt associates.Strong operational excellence background required.Other skills and abilities

Compensation and benefits
Total rewards : The compensation range for this position is $124,100.00 - $186,100.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for a performance-based bonus plan.
