Overview

Clayton Homes is a vertically integrated housing company that builds, sells, and insures affordable housing. We are actively recruiting individuals who are passionate, positive, and eager to learn. This role is for Home Building Team Members at the Marlette Homes / Clayton Hermiston building facility in Hermiston, OR.

Current average pay cited in listing : $28 / hr including bonus. Starting base pay listed as $21 / hr for all positions, with production bonus after four weeks and potential for base pay increases.

Responsibilities

  • Safety : Practice safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and safe while observing OSHA regulations.
  • Productivity : Work in a team environment to produce products that meet quality standards and productivity objectives.
  • Stewardship : Protect company assets, report maintenance needs, keep area clean and orderly.
  • Planning : Assist Team Leader and Area Coordinator to plan and organize manufacturing activities; communicate anticipated material shortages and quality / productivity issues.
  • Attendance : Meet attendance requirements and start times per division rules.
  • Rules and Regulations : Adhere to safety rules and wear required PPE as per Safety Policy.
  • Physical Demands : Ability to perform essential functions; reasonable accommodations available.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Continuously see, hear, and speak; ability to walk on uneven surfaces, stand, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, and reach overhead.
  • Continuous use of wrists and hands; use of pneumatic tools, hand tools, and saws depending on position.
  • Wear required PPE (hard hat, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, face mask when needed).
  • Lift 20-50 lbs depending on position; work in indoor environment with varying temperatures.
  • Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings; willingness to transfer to different departments as needed.
  • Work Monday through Friday 6 : 00am to 2 : 30pm; overtime and / or Saturdays available as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members.
