Work Details :

• Practice Setting

Hospital-based Pathology Lab

• Call Schedule

Weekly, alternating weeks

• Starts Friday at 5 : 00 PM and ends the following Friday at 8 : 00 AM
• Nights / weekend rotation is required
• Volume

Approximately 35-50 cases read per day, with the workload split between two pathologists

• Certification

CLIA certification held by the laboratory

• Case Types

Broad spectrum of pathology cases, requiring a well-rounded pathologist with experience in both common and complex diagnostic work

Requirements :

• Board Certification

Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pathology

• State License

Must hold an active Michigan medical license or be eligible to obtain one

• Emergency / Temp Privileges

Not available; standard credentialing process applies

• Experience

Proven experience in a hospital-based pathology setting is preferred

Additional Information :

• Call Ratio

Every other week, covering nights and weekends

• Credentialing Timeframe

Standard timeframe applies; however, candidates must be ready to start as soon as September 30th

• Onboarding

Comprehensive orientation will be provided, along with support from the medical team to ensure a smooth transition into the role
