ER Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience

Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility (travel nurse requirement)

Strong clinical skills and ability to excel in a fast-paced emergency department

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department

Assess, triage, and monitor patients with acute medical and trauma conditions

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as prescribed

Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Provide support, education, and compassionate care to patients and families
