As a Security Officer - Unarmed Chemical Patrol in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Monday 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Saturday 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sunday 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking into account the unique needs of a chemical and petrochemical environment.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for any irregularities.

Observe and report any unusual conditions or activities, such as unauthorized personnel, equipment malfunctions, or potential hazards specific to chemical and petrochemical operations.

Communicate promptly and clearly with Allied Universal management and / or site contacts regarding incidents, hazards, or emergencies.

Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal and site protocols, maintaining accurate and thorough records.

Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and / or directing visitors as needed for the location.

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.

Guard card or license is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
