Schedule : Varies from 7am-5 : 30pm, M-Fevery other Saturday 7am-1pm

A schedule will be created, but there is a good possibility that mid-day or beginning of day, the worker will be requested to move to a different site as listed above. If so, time will be compensated for travel. Resource must have their own mode of transportation.

Requires a clean driving record

All sites are very high volume PSC; this resource will be working with a team and will be responsible for 25+ sticks per day. Additional responsibilities will include processing, which will be trained upon hire. All ages of patients are seen, so Pediatric experience is a plus. The candidates should have a minimum of 6 months experience in a high volume doctors office, hospital, or outpatient lab as they will be expected to hit the ground running.

Summary : The main function of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various assigned duties, trouble shooting, training and making work flow recommendations.Position Responsibilities : Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required. Demonstrate technique / s using straight needles and / or butterfly needles. Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order. Check all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100% correct. Package specimens for transport.
