American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN with at least 2 years of emergency and 1 year of med-surg experience for a multi-campus assignment in MN.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an Emergency Department with occasional float to Med Surg units at three CentraCare campusesPatient population includes both adults and pediatrics in a critical access hospital settingDay and night shifts available : 3x12 hours (07 : 00-19 : 30 & 19 : 00-07 : 30), flexible schedulingWeekend shifts required, averaging 6 weekends per 13-week contractNurse to patient ratios : 1 : 4 during days, 1 : 6 during nightsFloating required within scope to all assigned CentraCare locationsCharting is completed using Epic EMRResponsibilities include patient care in the Emergency Department and float coverage on Med Surg units as neededHoliday coverage may be required based on unit needsAll staff must wear black scrubsFree parking is available in the main lotMedical or religious exemption forms are accepted for vaccinationsTravelers must be financially responsible for travel arrangements needed for in-person fingerprinting requirementsReturn to assignment as a traveler requires being gone at least nine months from prior permanent employment with the health systemNo more than 10 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed per assignment, and no RTO in the first week\n \n Requirements\n
Active MN RN license or proof of application (pending acceptable); MN is not a Compact stateCurrent certifications : BLS and ACLS, TNCC requiredMinimum 2 years of Emergency Department and 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience requiredExperience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias requiredGeneral emergency department experience with both adult and pediatric populations requiredOB experience preferredFingerprinting in MN and lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signingMust not live within 50 miles of any assigned facilityFirst-time travelers are accepted\n Benefits\n
