Heavy Equipment Shop Foreman / Lead Technician

Location : Albany, NY

Company : Contractors Sales Company, Inc.

Pay : Starting at $40 / hour , depending on experience

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 7 : 00 AM–3 : 30 PM (OT as needed)

Union : Local 158 Operating Engineers

What You'll Do

  • Lead and support a team of shop technicians
  • Schedule and coordinate repair jobs with the Service Manager
  • Diagnose and repair heavy equipment systems - engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical
  • Oversee maintenance and repair schedules for customers and rental fleet equipment
  • Ensure all work is done safely, efficiently, and to high standards

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years in heavy equipment or diesel repair (minimum 5 years hands-on )
  • 4+ years of leadership or foreman experience in a shop environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • Proficient with laptop diagnostics and service software
  • Team leader with a "no task beneath me" attitude
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Field or road service experience is a plus

    • Equipment You'll Work On

    Excavators, wheel loaders, drills, crushing plants, hydraulic breakers, and road wideners - including brands like Link-Belt, Hitachi, Sandvik, and Anaconda.
