Pharmacy Clerk / Cashier
DEFINITION / PRIMARY FUNCTION
Pharmacy Cashiers combine interpersonal and communication skills with a detail-oriented perspective in order to provide both great customer service and support the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. To be successful, the Pharmacy Cashier must be able to work under deadlines in fast-paced environments and capable of juggling many tasks at once, staying organized and tolerate stress. Quantitative skills help as processing payment is a large part of their job.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience :
Experience in cashier services, cash collection, credit card transaction and AR functionality of the POS system.
Retail Pharmacy experience a plus.
Education and Training :
High school diploma.
License, Certification & Registration :
None.
Other Requirements :
Proven typing ability and computer skills ( Windows Microsoft.).
Proven, outstanding, customer service skills, consistently demonstrating a friendly, pleasant and outgoing welcome when greeting anyone entering the Pharmacy. Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to interact appropriately with the patients and hospital staff and maintain high level of confidentiality required.
Must possess and demonstrate good organizational skills. Ability to speak the English language in a clearly understandable manner.
Ability to troubleshoot / maintain proper operation of . Point of sale system as well as the RX Retrieve module.
