JOB SUMMARY

The Principal Maintainability, RAM, or Logistics Engineer will be based at the Sterling Heights, MI facility and will play a key role in performing detailed analyses to optimize system maintainability, reliability, and lifecycle cost. This position involves conducting maintenance task analysis, level of repair analysis, and reliability-centered maintenance to improve system supportability. The role requires strong analytical skills, technical documentation expertise, and the ability to collaborate across engineering teams to implement maintainability improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Maintenance Task Analysis, defining task steps, tools, equipment, personnel, and time requirements.
• Conduct Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) to determine cost-effective repair and replacement strategies.
• Execute Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and analyze system performance metrics.
• Calculate maintenance metrics such as Maintenance Ratio, Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and Maximum Time to Repair.
• Assess engineering changes and their impact on logistics, maintainability, and lifecycle support (e.g., spares, tools, personnel).
• Recommend design modifications to improve maintainability and reduce lifecycle costs.
• Develop and revise technical documentation, including maintenance plans, reports, and support analyses.
• Contribute to technical papers and presentations supporting program initiatives.

Experience using Reliasoft and Opus software tools.
