Overview

ExecuPOWER is growing, and we are looking for an Associate Transmission Engineer to join our Transmission Engineering team. In this role, you'll support the design and implementation of overhead and underground transmission lines, contributing to critical power delivery projects. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, collaborate with clients and vendors, and help ensure our designs meet the highest technical and safety standards.

What You'll Do

  • Support the preparation of design deliverables for overhead and underground transmission lines.
  • Develop routing and siting criteria, duct bank layouts, and manhole placement plans.
  • Perform ampacity and pulling calculations, draft construction specifications, and support project documentation.
  • Partner with vendors and clients to define and specify transmission line components.
  • Conduct field visits to confirm routing conditions and ensure material compliance.
  • Review and integrate drawings and information from manufacturers.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and client safety and environmental standards.
  • Prepare technical reports, project updates, and other administrative documentation.
  • Assist in power restoration efforts as part of client emergency response programs.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Knowledge of software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, MFAD, or LPILE (preferred).
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and GIS tools (highly desired).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
