Responsibilities Position is in a large, 44-bed surgical, trauma, and medical pediatric critical care unit in a hospital setting Cares for patients ranging from neonates to young adults with neurosurgical, surgical, trauma, and medical / respiratory needs Patient ratios vary from 1 : 1 to 1 : 3 depending on acuity Uses specialized equipment including oscillators, ICP monitoring, EVDs, and CRRT EPIC charting is highly preferred Night shift hours are 12-hour shifts, 1900 - 0730 Every other weekend rotation required (Friday / Saturday / Sunday) Float first to all inpatient units including critical care, NICU, and Acute Care No on-call responsibilities Potential to carry code phone; training provided Work in a teaching hospital environment with frequent collaboration with students and interdisciplinary teams Professional scrubs of any color are allowed Jewelry and accessories must not interfere with job performance or create safety or infection risks Offensive or suggestive tattoos must be covered Hair should be clean and styled to prevent interference with work tasks Flu vaccination is required with no exemptions permitted Holiday coverage may be required as needed Requirements Active WI or compact RN license required Current AHA BLS and AHA PALS certifications required A minimum of 1 year of recent PICU experience is required Recent hands-on experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care is mandatory Strongly preferred to have experience with EPIC electronic medical record system Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622438.
