Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic Rehab Department. We're looking for an individual with a positive attitude who is committed to providing the highest quality rehabilitation services to our patients. As a PTA, you will play a crucial role in delivering professional outpatient and / or inpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation services. You'll work closely with our physical therapists to implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring our patients receive the best possible care. Location : Caro, MI Hours : Full Time. Days. Weekend Rotation. Full Benefits. Wage : $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in implementing comprehensive and individualized treatment plans for patients. - Monitor and accurately document patient progress, making detailed observations and recording responses to therapy. - Report any changes or concerns in patient progress promptly to the supervising physical therapist. - Educate patients and their families on exercises, proper body mechanics, and adaptive equipment to facilitate recovery and promote long-term wellness. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and sanitized. - Adhere strictly to the APTA Standards of Practice, prevailing accreditation body guidelines, and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in a professional setting. - Current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Michigan. - Ability to successfully pass a criminal background investigation and drug test. - CPR for Professional Rescuer or BLS-C certification required (will be provided by the employer if needed). - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
