As an Estimator with Paladin Technologies, your main responsibility will be to maximize the award of profitable contracts by leading estimating and bid administration activities.

You will work closely with the Sales, Design, and Project Management team to ensure that our customers are provided with the highest quality service.

A typical day could see you responding to an RFP, holding client meetings, working with project teams during installation, or planning for the closeout of a project.   Responsibilities Prepare cost budgets based on drawings, specifications, and other relevant materials Work closely with Engineering, Sales, and PMO to develop cost estimates for labor and logistics and detailed BOM Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents Compute and communicate costs through analysis of labor, material, and time requirements Engage subcontractors to augment Paladin’s areas of expertise to provide a complete solution Obtain best product prices from manufacturers, distributors, and subcontractors Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, establishing networks Coordinating bid proposal development with all relevant stakeholders Required Qualifications :

• A minimum of three years of design experience in the information technology and integrated security systems.
• A strong understanding of the physical security and / or IT industries, including an awareness of complimentary products, technologies, trends, and the general application of physical security technology An understanding of and experience with fundamental concepts pertaining to IP networks, low voltage electronics, power, and communications.
• Ability to create and edit design drawings, spread sheets, program sheets and projects handover documentation.

A strong command of the English language supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills The ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and projects and be responsive to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills Motivated self-starter with ambition to independently research new technologies as well as engineering and business methodologies / concepts Preferred Qualifications :

Experience estimating projects worth between $250K-$500K or larger Experience working with some or all the following systems is preferred :

Strong computer skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Mac OS, and project / quoting software Post-secondary education in electronics, electrical, or equivalent would be considered an asset Excellent organization and attention to detail Physical Demands :

Must be able to effectively communicate, (i.e., see, hear, speak, and write clearly) in order to communicate with colleagues and / or customers; manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment Position is a desk job requiring the use of computer, keyboard, and phone Working Conditions :
