BROAD FUNCTION

The Officer’s primary responsibility is to ensure compliance with the college’s Residence Handbook, Student Code of Conduct and college policies at the Campus View residences. The Officer will be tasked with creating an atmosphere conducive to academic success and maintaining safety and security standards.

Hours : Saturday and Monday 10p-10a 3rd shift

Essential Functions

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Review the Passover Log at the beginning of each shift for any pertinent information provided by other shifts;
• Greet each person entering the building and check that they have an acceptable form of ID;
• Ensure that all guests are accompanied by a resident, collect their ID and log their information;
• Submit maintenance work and key request, document Lockout Key usage and maintain the Equipment Log;
• Address noise complaints and / or incident reports;
• Maintain professional public relations with all staff, students, visitors and community.
• Responsible for understanding, supporting and actively demonstrating the College’s beliefs, values, mission and vision and being in agreement to be evaluated by same.

Internal : Daily contact with safety and security manager and other department personnel. Contact with college personnel as needed.

External : Regular contact with the general public in connection with use of College facilities.
