Manage all aspects of technical systems, infrastructure, and applications that support manufacturing and distribution center functions. Analyze business requirements, identify, document, and remediate problems with technology systems. Coordinate with application and hardware vendors on bug resolution, technical support issues and updates. Develop and maintain approved technology standards via the use of defined refresh cycles, system evaluations and analysis. Act as a strategic partner to the business, driving solutions through collaboration.

  • Collaborate with business leaders to investigate and determine specific technology requirements, identify and evaluate solutions, and then make recommendations.
  • Analyze and design specific technology solutions to meet requirements and develop corresponding documentation.
  • Document system workflows and IT procedures.
  • Assess and debug systems for compatibility with modern technology solutions and procedures in coordination with the applicable vendors and business process owners.
  • Prepare, document, and integrate updates, modifications, and improvements to existing systems.
  • Provide ongoing user training and respond to user questions on existing applications, helping to resolve user-identified problems or to identify and correct errors or bottlenecks with specific business processes or system flows.
  • Conduct periodic follow-ups to validate successful implementation of programs.
  • Work with software vendors as needed to resolve user problems and software bugs.
  • Provide accurate time estimates for technology projects.
  • Manage and execute technological initiatives to ensure on time completion within specified business requirements.
  • Function as a backup to the STL IT staff when needed.
  • Provide regular technology status updates to the support manager.
  • Keep factory and distribution center business leaders informed by providing regular communications.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of technology standards.
  • Promote operational resiliency and system availability by implementing IT best practices.
  • Strive to meet or exceed SLAs on helpdesk and project tasks.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware and software assets.
  • Assist with the evaluation, integration, and support of industrial control systems.
  • Other related duties as required.

Position Qualification Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

Five to ten years of experience in a similar position. Preferred experience with MS Intune, Cisco / Meraki networking devices, user administration, virtual infrastructure, MS Azure, and MS D365 Finance and Supply Chain.

Skills + Knowledge

Thorough knowledge of personal computers, networking, industrial control systems, MS Azure, and servers. The ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve analytically and logically, while effectively prioritizing is critically important. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication abilities (both verbal and written). Strong organizational and project management skills are highly valued in this role. Successful candidates will be proactive, collaborative, communicative, self-motivated, adaptable, accountable, and demonstrate initiative and persistence in task accomplishment.

Physical Requirements

Normal office environment which requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and see. May involve the ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects of up to 15 to 20 pounds, infrequently.
