Cloud Engineer

Markon is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support our client in Springfield, VA. The responsibilities of the Cloud Engineer include (but are not limited to) :

  • Supports cultural change for cloud adoption.
  • Supports development and coordination of cloud architectures.
  • Supports the development of cloud strategies and coordinating adoption of cloud-based solutions.

Required :

  • An active TS / SCI with a CI Polygraph (conducted in the last 5 years) (preferably from this client)
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or equivalent mid-level experience as a Cloud Architect.
  • 6+ years (mid-level) of working experience in cloud-based systems architecting.

    • Desired :

  • Previous working experience in government or industry, within Cloud Architect profession.
  • One or more Cloud Certifications :

    • Cloud Certified Solutions Architect

  • AWS Certified
  • Cisco Certified Networking Administrator - Cloud
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional - Cloud
  • IBM Certified Cloud Solution Architect
  • MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP7-CMA)

    • Salary Range USD $120,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 / Yr. The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
