The College of Aviation at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona invites applications for a non-tenure track position in the Applied Aviation Sciences Department starting in January 2025 at the Assistant / Associate Professor level in the field of air traffic control.
The department seeks candidates who can serve as the primary instructor, teaching courses on air traffic control procedures and techniques based on current standards and demands of the national airspace. Candidates should be able to teach basic air traffic courses in a clear and accessible manner for students with little to no prior aviation knowledge. The successful candidate will also mentor students.
Applicants should demonstrate the ability to teach and develop classroom and laboratory courses across all undergraduate levels, focusing on both foundational knowledge and advanced industry skills. A strong commitment to undergraduate education—both in the classroom and through experiential learning—is essential. The department emphasizes hands-on educational methods and practical skills relevant to post-graduation careers.
