Job Title : Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location : Livingston, MT

Contract Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : 12-Hour Night Shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM), 36 hours per week

Start Date : November 19, 2025

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Identify and prioritize patient needs to develop and implement appropriate nursing care plans.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in age-appropriate care for newborns, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and initiate emergency measures as needed.
  • Provide care for patients on mechanical ventilation, titrate IV medications, and assist with invasive procedures.
  • Accurately document all patient care activities and communicate changes in condition promptly to physicians and care team members.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and discharge plans.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment that supports patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Participate in orientation, training, and ongoing performance improvement activities.
  • Accept accountability for professional practice and ensure adherence to facility standards and policies.
  • Requirements :

  • Licensure : Active RN license in the state of Montana (or compact state eligibility).
  • Certifications : BLS, ACLS, and PALS required (PALS may be discussed if not current).
  • Experience : Minimum 3 years of ICU nursing experience required.
  • Travel Experience : At least two completed travel contracts preferred.
  • Additional : Critical Access Hospital experience strongly favored.
  • Must be willing to float to Med / Surg as needed.
  • Shift & Schedule :

  • Shift : 3x12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)
  • Schedule : Variable days including weekends and holidays
  • Contract Length : 13 weeks
